When I founded my first company that produces textile auxiliary materials and accessories, which I named Yeni Ege in 1970, my goal was to provide a good future for my children and to achieve a real success in what I do. When I am asked to contribute to this article; I realized how hard I worked to get to these periods and that the most important feeling that feeds me at this point is success.
At that time, I think success could only happen if I was innovative.
Innovation was what my competitors didn't do, it was being separate from the herd.
This has enabled me to always develop my business and focus on different sectors.
Being an entrepreneur is something that exists in my soul. It makes me very excited to make a leap, excitement turns into passion, passion turns into happiness, and happiness turns into success.
We have reached 10 brands and hundreds of sales points in 4 different sectors since 1970.
If we consider all of our business as a building, two values will never change.
The first is Our Customers; they have been the most precious part of our job, both for me and for my colleagues.
The other is; the team that I have worked with until today and contributed to my success and growth; actually my fellow travellers.
If you cannot be a good team, success remains only a dream.
There is failure as well as success, and every failure was a teaching to me. I think this is one of the parts of business life that hurts but develops, teaches and enhances.
I enjoy going to work every day, creating new projects, listening to my employees, hearing about our achievements, feeling that I still have an impact and maintaining my business habits.
My daughter Ayda is doing incredibly good work in the field of tourism and food, my son Enis, retail and textile. I am watching with pride.
In the meantime, I have 4 brilliant grandchildren with very different energies and abilities.
I always advised my children and grandchildren; Listen to your customers very well, love them from your heart and give importance to the work you do to bring a good future to your employees.
